HAPPY THANKSGIVING

November 24th, 2009 | By jane-wqel in Uncategorized | No Comments »

It’s that time of year again to see family and friends you may not have seen for a year and to eat tons of food…oh Yeah!

Dinner will be at my house and I enjoy getting ready.  Sure it’s work but it is also fun and Emily is all excited about the family coming to our house for dinner.   And this way we get all the good leftovers….LOL!!

I’ve been reading this book “One Month To Live”, it’s about how you would change your life if you only had a month left and how you should live your life that way on a daily basis.  Appreciate the little things, don’t take family and friends for granted, live a no regrets life.   And I’m working on that, I’ve always appreciate my family and friends but at times didn’t stay in touch like I should or let them know how much the mean to me, and that is something so easy to do daily.   Think about this, what will you family and friends say about you after you have left this earth??   Embrace your loved ones everyday.   Time is precious.

Hope all of you have a Happy and Safe Thanksgiving!

A Classic

This is one of the best commercials in TV history.  And I don't say that just because I'm a Steelers fan, it was just a great commercial.   And 30 years later Joe gets the award!  I guess better late than never!  Enjoy this classic commercial...

Waiting…

Something I don’t do well no matter what I am waiting for…and waiting for Pirate Radio to get to a theatre around here is frustrating!!  It opened today in wide release but I guess Mansfield and Marion are still small town??  It is showing in Columbus and Cleveland with the big city folk, but not here…not yet I hope!   Even if you aren’t in radio but love music, this is a movie you are going to want to see, I have read many reviews and watched clips from the film and it is too cool!!   So Pirate Radio get to small town Ohio….NOW!!

New Pet Craze!

They are adorable and cute….Micro Pigs!!  I think for the right person these little piggies would make a great companion.  They are quite expensive though, around $1100.00, so make sure you want one as you should for any pet you bring into your home.  I dont think these little piggies would be good for small children, I can just see Emily treating it like a stuffed animal…LOL!!  I so would love to see one up close and personal!!

No my baby anymore…

I have to realize that my daughter is growing up and sometimes it makes me sad but always makes me proud.   Kindergarten has changed her and it is so interesting to see the changes she is going through daily.  I want to save every moment in a jar so I will have it forever, and I will in my heart and my memories.   She came home Thursday evening with her bookbag and was showing me all her papers and she did 2 complete sentences and a picture to go with them and it brought tears to my eyes.   She is one sweet amazing little girl who has been through quite a bit of topsey-turvey times but she just keeps going and doesn’t sweat the small stuff…a lesson I need to learn from her.  I just have to display her picture!  Im so proud!!

It says "I can help my family. I can feed the cats." We are working on her spelling. She drew both the cats Little One and Mimi and herself and me!

HALLOWEEN

Well it was a cold one out. At first I was bummed that Shelby only had trick or treat for an hour, but once we got outside, we were more than happy it was only an hour!!   Still with the cold weather it was fun and Emily got enough candy to last to the end of the year, she is only allowed 2 pieces of candy a day.   She was a witch and we did the green makeup but it itched and she took it off.  I did get a pic of the green face though and she looked so cute!!   Hope everyone had a good Halloween.
